they suck. took my e320 in after the ac compressor was shot and they did jack diddly to fix it. I had to initiate all phone calls to get any info even after they said they would call me. I was told one day that the key shifter was locked up and that they "did everything" to fix it and they suggested to trash the car. i came up and the battery (which was brand new) was absolutely drained, which they somehow didn't notice. replaced that, suddenly the key worked again! shouldn't take a genius to figure that out. meanwhile I was urged to tow the car out of the lot even though they did zero work because they get inspections and it "would look bad". I eventually got it towed out and just fixed the damn thing myself because they wouldn't do anything. wasted hundreds of dollars on towing back and forth because they're one of the only European imports mechanics in the area.

I brought my 2006 BMW 650i into their shop to be repaired. My complaint was check engine lights on AC is not working and I had a power steering leak . Transmissions acting up. On my first visit. He had the car almost 3 weeks. He told me he would call me before he did any repairs. I never received a phone call. He went ahead and changed the oil and fix the AC without prior approval. On that same visit all he did on my power steering. He told me he tightened everything up and put Lucas stop leaking it. I've never heard of the mechanic doing that ever. But that's what I got. And I think he only charged me $25 for the stop leak. So I get the car back it has the issues starting. So I find out I need a new ignition switch. He kept telling me he had to reach out to people and ask questions and this that and the other. Also told me his BMW guy is in and out of the hospital and not available. It seems like every time I walk in his shop all he's working on is antique Volkswagens. So I have my car back the check engine light comes back on. That he told me he cleared the code on and ignored. Which was one of my first original concerns. The car needs a new thermostat. So because he kept saying

Do not recommend this business at all. Owner made promises to fix my BMW after the transmission skipped. I paid over $700 and after driving it off the lot for less than 10 mins. I encountered the same issue. The owner refused to give me my money and requested I take it to BMW to access the problem which they recommended to replace the transmission. The owner fully knew this while working on the vehicle and refused to give me a full refund money back. I would strongly advise avoiding this place. They are unprofessional, dishonest, and overpriced. Save yourself the frustration and take your car to a reputable mechanic instead.

Going to the dealer for car repair can bring on dread, anxiety and an empty wallet. Going to German Imports for car repair brings on a tiny fraction of the above with much less of a hangover. They know German cars. My diesel-gate survivor Jetta TDI needed help, so I took the car to them. I appreciate their communication, level of knowledge about the cars and repair, and am confident that I did not get β€œripped off.” I’ll be taking my car there for as long as it nickel and dimes me (because VW’s do that)! I would recommend them for reliable service and fair pricing.
